Monday

Nigüelas, Lecrin. Village market of groceries and haberdashery items

Tuesday

Motril. Very much a home textile market, it's a good source for bed linen and towels. Shoes are also in abundance.

Wednesday

Durcal. This town market offers a mixture of fresh fruit, vegetables and clothing. Check out the herbs and spices stall with a great selection of fresh olives.

Thursday

Orgiva. Fresh fruit, vegetables, spices and incense.

Friday

Mondujar. Compact, local market offering kitchen hardware, fruit and vegetables. There is also a great flower stall with colorful geraniums and scented jasmine.

Almuñecar. Geared towards the tourist traffic, this market offers a large selection of new clothing, shoes and local crafts.

Saturday

Granada (near Carrefour). A great market for bargain shoes and clothes.

Fuengirola (Malaga). Further a field but well worth a trip. Car boot sale with great bargains for furnishing your home.

Almuñecar. On the first Saturday of every month there is a large car boot sale. A huge area full of clothes, house hold goods, antiques and bric-a-brac.

Sunday

Granada (near bus station). The largest market in the region offering an assortment of clothes, shoes, fabrics, ceramics and groceries. Comfortable shoes are a must, as well as a firm grip on your wallet!

Zaidin (Granada). A small flea market offers a wide range of antiques and bargains especially for the home.

Nerja (Malaga). Car boot sale. An excellent source for English books, videos and second-hand items.
