The province of Granada offers a wide range of walking areas. The most well know is the Alpujarras with the famous GR-7 long distance path running through it. However, the Lecrin Valley and the nothern part of he Sierra Nevada are less known but wortwile to explore. The peaks of the Sierra Nevada, like the Mulhacen, Veleta and Caballo are well known within the region. The area is very suitable for outdoor activities such as: walking, golf, skiing, horse riding and fishing. Within the hour you can also enjoy: wall climbing, canoeing, descending canyon, paragliding, sailing, balloon flights and relaxing on the beach. In ski holiday season starts the third week of November until the middle of April.
